Role Overview
We are seeking an EU-based Graphic & Production Designer with both strong technical expertise and a refined artistic sensibility. The ideal candidate has experience creating designs for wallpapers, murals, or large-scale printed artworks, and possesses a deep understanding of production workflows—from artwork preparation to print execution.
A crucial aspect of this role is an ability to bring a hand-crafted aesthetic into digital work. Candidates should demonstrate confident artistic hand skills, including expressive linework and digital techniques that maintain the character, warmth, and nuance of handmade art.
This position bridges creativity and precision. You will work closely with the creative directors to translate artistic concepts into print-ready designs, oversee production with printing partners, and contribute to the creative direction and development of the wallpaper line.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop original layouts, patterns, and colorways for wallpapers and murals.
- Prepare and manage high-resolution production files with precise scale, repeat, and color calibration.
- Liaise directly with printers and production partners to manage proofs, samples, and quality control.
- Translate hand-painted and drawn artworks into digital formats while maintaining their material quality and artistic integrity.
- Support commissioned projects for the studio, coordinating with designers, architects, and fabricators on bespoke mural and wallpaper applications.
- Contribute to building the wallpaper collection through design development, sampling, and marketing materials.
- Maintain organized archives of production files, color references, and documentation for ongoing and past projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Graphic Design, Surface Design, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in wallpaper, mural, or surface design production.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of print processes, scaling, color management, and material substrates.
- Exceptional sense of color, texture, and composition with an artful approach to design.
- Proven ability to communicate and coordinate with printers, suppliers, and creative teams.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Interest in craftsmanship, fine art, and the intersection of art and interiors.
- High level of English (spoken and written) — all studio communication is conducted in English.
